Description
- Can be used on rubber, neoprene, plastic, steel, iron, copper, brass, stainless steel, and other metals except aluminum, magnesium, or chromium.
- High concentration of active ingredients causes a foaming action. When foaming action stops, all mineral deposits have been dissolved or the saturation point of the solution has been reached. This may happen where large deposits are present and where only a very small amount can be applied. In this case, remove old and pour in fresh amount. Repeat if necessary.
- When used as a dip for cleaning rust and scale from valves, fittings, etc., care should be taken that fumes resulting from this chemical reaction are not allowed to contact highly finished metal parts or tools; these fumes are corrosive and will cause rusting.
- Where oil or grease film is present on scale, the action is slower. However, solution will penetrate this film, float it to the top, and then dissolve the scale.
